Who Are We?

Watch-Modz LLC is an independent modding brand based in the United States. Being established in January 2021, we are a fairly new company, with customer service and quality being our top priorities.

Our story

After realizing the gross lack of quality Seiko mod parts and the limited designs and concepts available in the industry, we spent countless hours developing parts and figuring out better concepts.

This process was not without challenges, as many designs were not readily available. This did not stop us from maintaining our high taste for quality and beautiful designs. Thanks to our passion for the modding process, we were able to weather the storm.

As we began to expand, we got more clarity. People kept telling us we couldn’t make it happen, that we should give up, that we CAN’T compete, but it only drove us to perform even better and outdo ourselves. Watch-Modz was founded on that one word, “Can’t”. Every time someone says it CAN’T be done, we do it! We took on the challenge to make each product better than the last, and as we evolved, the words “can’t” and “impossible” faded from our heads. Truly, nothing can stop you from fulfilling your dreams.

Our founder

Our Founder Delbert Duba III is legally blind, having been born with Optic Nerve Hypoplasia with progressive myopia. Thus, it was not surprising that he met profound resistance from virtually everyone when he decided to build and modify watches. How can a blind man build and modify watches? Because nothing can hold you back from pursuing your passions! None of these people or comments stopped him from pursuing his passion, as he had to prove doubters wrong. Anything can be done if you put your mind to it.

He dropped the bombshell by learning how to modify watches, even though he was already good at it naturally. After seeing a fellow modder in a similar situation to his, Delbert decided to create the Facebook group ‘Watch Mod Enthusiasts’ where all watch modders are welcome with open arms.

This proved to be a masterstroke, as it became a strong community of experienced modders sharing knowledge and advice. Fellow enthusiasts and beginners can now find video tutorials and links to all the tools they need to get started. The group also has a list of all parts suppliers worldwide. Check it out.

After spending some time building watches, Delbert started to get frustrated at the high prices and lack of variety of Seiko SKX007 parts. More irritating were the endless hours of waiting for shipping. In his attempt to solve this, he decided he would start selling his own parts right here in the USA. However, more people pushed back and said he “can’t” open his own parts store. Once again, he chewed up the challenge and founded Watch-Modz LLC. This is how our company came to be
